Database Specialist

 
Job Title:  Database Specialist

Job Description

  • Drive product requirements as a database expert that understands database best practices. Including database configuration and performance optimization techniques for Oracle, MS SQLServer, DB2, etc.
  • Owning the database component of the BalancePoint product including schema migration strategies, maintenance, and new design and development.
  • Working as a project team member to deliver new product features and improvements. Includes analyzing and understanding the impact of business requirements on the database design.
  • Support field engineers

Requirements:

  • A minimum of Ten (10) years of experience as a DBA and or Data Architect
  • Excellent knowledge of architecting, designing and implementing large scale and high performance databases in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL
  • Excellent knowledge of database systems; database design, and database implementation / normalization strategies
  • Experience with OLTP, Data Warehousing, Data Marts, Dimensional Modeling, OLAP and Microsoft Reporting and Analysis services are also preferred
  • Proven track record of work involving both custom application development and integration of off-the-shelf & Third Party solutions
  • Knowledge or Experience working on multi-tier Java related projects would be a plus

Senior Product Marketing Manager

Description:

Akorri is actively seeking a person to manage technical product marketing activities. The ideal candidate for this position will have both product marketing and product management experience. The primary goal for this position is to lead Akorri’s go-to-market activities and accelerate Akorri’s penetration of the rapidly emerging market for managing virtual data center performance. Working collaboratively with the development, marketing, sales teams this person will:

  • Conduct research and work with development to define product requirements, UI designs and use case scenarios
  • Work with business development, product management and corporate marketing to create solution guides, data sheets and web content
  • Develop product demos, both live and recorded for the field organization and partners
  • Develop sales tools such as ROI calculators, reviewer’s guides, white papers, etc.
  • Take the lead on sales and partner enablement activities, including product training, competitive positioning, Q&A, and sales/analyst requests for information
  • Develop and deliver presentations for analyst briefings, conferences and webinars

Requirements:

The ideal applicant will have a minimum of 7-10 years combined experience in the areas of consulting, marketing, product management and/or technical sales in the field of systems management or enterprise applications. The primary goal for this position is to lead Akorri’s partner marketing activities, including developing partner lead generation programs, leading partner training activities, establishing partner success metrics and tracking partner performance.

Technical Trainer / Course Developer

Job Title: Technical Training Manager
Location: Headquarters, Littleton, MA

Description:

  • Define training requirements, develop content, and deliver instructor led and web-based technical training courses.
  • Focus on meeting the technical needs of Akorri Partner System Engineers and Customers
  • Define and develop new course material and maintain/improve/update existing courses including lecture, hands-on labs, exams, and instructor guides.
  • Classroom maintenance (hardware & software including Storage Arrays, Servers, and Software Solutions) and classroom setup.
  • Delivery of technical training courses to the designated audience with a high degree of customer satisfaction
  • Work with product teams & engineers to learn new products & features and to stay current on the latest storage solutions and technologies

Requirements:

  • BS or BBA degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience is required

  • Ability to learn technical and complex concepts and be able to develop and deliver to learners of varying educational, technical, cultural, and experience levels

Channel Operations Manager

 

Job Title: Channel Operations Manager
Location: Littleton, MA

Responsibilities:

    The Channel Operations Manager will have overall responsibility of development, execution and analysis of Akorri’s channel program. In this role, you will develop programs and systems that increase partner loyalty, leverage and ability to drive pipeline growth and revenue across sales regions. This person will coordinate resources across functions to execute programs and continuously analyze and improve channel performance .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, executing and analyzing programs to ramp channel partners, create new demand and drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement systems that enable Akorri and its partners to track and continually adjust programs to meet key channel performance metrics.
  • Project manage activities inclusive of project scoping, developing project plans, cross-functional collaboration, implementation and metrics/KPI definition and measurement.
  • Monitor and analyze relevant data across the marketing and sales process to evaluate program and channel effectiveness and ROI.
  • Manage SalesForce.com channel forecasting process including database reporting and metrics, data integrity and cleanup, and integration with other internal and external systems.
  • Keep Partners abreast of all new product introductions, incentive programs and other communications.
  • Assist in contract creation and negotiation with strategic resellers
  • Help Channel Managers achieve revenue/bookings goals on a quarterly basis
  • Manage consistency of training and communication across the channel partners.

    • Requirements:

      • BS degree with minimum 7 years experience in operations and channel management, working both virtually and onsite to achieve corporate objectives.

    Inside Sales Representative

    Hours: 12:00pm – 9:00pm

    Responsibilities:

    • Aggressively qualify prospect inquiries over the phone regarding interest across Akorri’s suite, setting appointments for sales follow up, and outbound teleprospecting to drive attendance when necessary to Akorri sponsored events.
    • Develop and maintain Akorri partnerships working to execute on marketing programs with the regional partners.
    • Execute partner marketing plans to achieve sales goals by leveraging partner relationships and Akorri technology.
    • Provide account profiling for outreach efforts.
    • Assist with developing teleprospecting standard processes and metrics for success, and incorporating best practices.
    • Manage the integrity of the Salesforce.com database.
    • Assist in developing pipeline by following up on inquiries that are new to Akorri and those already in our prospect database; drive a number of qualified leads passed to Field Sales and help identify opportunities by working closely with the regional managers.
    • Develop a level of expertise of Akorri’s industry, product offering, competitive landscape, and understanding the associated technologies and how they solve customer’s business issues.

    Qualifications:

    • Must demonstrate excellent communication and listening skills as well as the ability to solution sell.
    • Prior experience managing partner relationships by phone.
    • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multitask to effectively prioritize and manage workflow.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow up/ follow through.
